Hello everyone!

My name is Kelsey, the owner and pet service provider at Petropolis Boutique & Pet Services. I have been an avid animal lover from a very young age! Since I was little my parents always said I would be the crazy animal person. And they were not wrong! Through high school I volunteered at the local humane society working with both dogs and cats. I also have professional experience working with animals over the last few years. I have experience working at a rescue, previous in-home pet care, fostering through a local rescue, working at a boarding facility and doing dog training. I also have cared for cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles and more!

I have worked with many dog breeds and have a very strong understanding of dog body language. I also am very comfortable working with shy pups!

I currently have two rescue cats that I adopted in 2019. Charlie the social butterfly and Blue the shy and independent one.

I also have three dogs. My first pup Josie is a 7 year old German Shepherd that I brought home when she was 5.5 weeks old. She is a very vocal drama queen that loves to play fetch. She loves people and other animals. She also struggles with resource guarding with other animals. 

I adopted Nash, my mixed breed pup when he was 8- weeks old. He is now about to turn 4. He is the nosy neighbor that no one wants, but also the biggest love bug. He is a certified therapy dog and loves going to visit!

I also have Archie, a 2-year-old Standard Poodle that was an owner surrender! I adopted in in October of 2022. He is an absolute blast that loves learning new things and playing with his friends! He was never properly socialized, so he does struggle meeting new people, but once he warms up, he is a fun dude!

I established this business first and foremost out of my love for animals, as their well-being is so important to me. I know how difficult it is to leave your pet friends behind when you go on vacation, if you have long days at work, or have a day trip planned. That is why I am so excited to offer pet care in the Niles, Ohio and surrounding areas. 

I truly look forward to meeting many new pet friends that will become like family!
